Dear Dr. King,
You will be glad to know that we expect very shortly to be able to arrange for the issue of the Order-in-Council establishing an emergency committee for the conferrent of Hong on Medieal Degrees. I enclose a copy of the draft Order as it stands at གས་ ont.
In regard to inclusion in the Register of the Concpal Medical Council of holders of Hong Kong Mediþul Dogr es conferred under this omer cncy scheme the Lawyers have discovered one or two technical difficulties which may mean that such registration must be deferred until the degrees can be granted
The matter is at again pro forma in Hong Kong. prosent under discussion with the Cuneral Ledical Council and I hope that some solution may be found.
However,
even if registration under the United ingdom act is impracticable for the time bein, úcgroos conferred by the proposed statutory body will be deemed to have been conferred by the University and in accordance FURTHER ACTIONyith section 11 of the Hong Kong Medical Registration
rdinance the holders of such degrees will be eligible for registration in Hong Kong on the libcration of the Colony.
In your letter of the 12th December, 1944, you ave the names of ten students who would be eligible to receive degrees from this emergency committee in accordance with the arrangements agreed with the 0.1.0. Could you now very kindly let me have separate submissions for each one giving particulars of the
